Common questions
Can I get a same day or next day appointment?
Yes, if you are a member. We cap how many members each provider takes, which is what makes same or next day appointments possible. You can see your provider's calendar and book directly, send a message through Spruce, or call the clinic. DPCA is appointment only and does not take walk-ins, so book or call rather than dropping in.
What does membership cost?
Adults age 18 and over are $89 a month. Children under 18 are $35 a month on a family account, and the family maximum is $248 a month for two adults and two or more children under 18. A minor enrolling on their own is $60 a month without the pharmacy benefit. There is a one time $75 enrollment fee per family. There is no copay at check-in and no deductible, because we do not file a claim for our care.
Is this insurance?
No. DPCA is a membership medical practice, not an insurance company. Your membership covers the care our providers deliver in our clinics. It does not cover hospital stays, specialists, emergency care, or surgery. We recommend every member carry coverage for major medical events, and we can connect you with a local agent who handles that.
How do I become a member?
Sign up online in a few minutes using the Join DPCA button, or call the clinic nearest you and we will walk you through it. Once you are enrolled you get a welcome email and then you book your first visit.
Are you accepting new patients?
Yes. We are always accepting new patients. Because we cap panel sizes to protect same and next day access, availability at a specific clinic can vary, so it is worth calling the location you want.

Loudon opened to bring affordable, accessible primary care to the community. The opportunity came through a partnership with the City of Loudon and Loudon Utilities to care for their employees and their families, and the clinic now serves members across Loudon County.
